Rice and Meatballs

1/2 c. chopped onion
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
2 sm. cans tomato sauce, add enough
water to make 2 c.
1 c. instant rice
1/2 tsp. sugar

Mix rice, meat, egg, salt, pepper, onion and 1/2 cup of sauce and water mixture. Then add 1/2 teaspoon sugar to remaining water and tomato sauce. Make very small meatballs, place in skillet with lid, pour the tomato sauce with the sugar over the meat balls. Cook, uncovered after it begins to boil for 10 minutes. Reduce heat just as soon as it boils. Cover and cook over low heat 15 more minutes. .
